Thurs. – Sun., August 19 – 22 from 10 am - 6 pm - Spray-free Wild Blueberry U-pick. Join us in our Earltown field for our first u-pick of spray-free wild blueberries!  Bring a hat, sunscreen and old clothes (this isn't an activity for your Sunday best)! Come with your family and pick a pint, a quart or a bucket and pay for what you pick. Find us between The Falls and Earltown on Hwy 311. Watch for the banner. August 20th - September 22 --Northumberland Arts Council presents "Wood Carvers Exhibit" featuring Rob Barrette, Don Millard, Larry Cline & Shirl Colburn. Opening Night reception on August 20th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm @ the Fraser Cultural Centre in Tatamagouche. ALL WELCOME!

 Saturday August 21 - The Malagash Museum is holding their Annual Festival Day - Starting with a yard sale at 9:00am. There will also be a BBQ and live Music throughout the day. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend!

Mon. – Wed., Aug. 30, 31 & Sept. 1 – WOMEN 40 YEARS & OLDER - The MOBILE 3 BREAST SCREENING PROGRAM (Nova Scotia Breast Screening Program) will be in Tatamagouche to perform regular screening MAMMOGRAMS at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital. Cemetery Tours (September 4th, 5th, 6th, 24th, 25th) - The tours will begin at 2:00 p.m inside the gate at the Tatamagouche Cemetery on Church Street. Those who wish to continue on to the Montbeliard/Pioneer Cemetery will require their own transportation. Tour will be canceled if the weather is bad. Sat.-Mon., September 4-6 – Tatamagouche Firemen’s Labor Day Weekend – Includes a Supper, auction, music, games with a street parade held on Labor Day. Fun for all ages! Watch for more details! 

Sunday, Sept. 5 (time TBA) – The 2nd ANNUAL BUTTER TRAIL “FUN RUN” will be held  on Labour Day Weekend, starting at 10 a.m.! Walk or jog, this event is for everyone! There will be a 5 and a ten kilometre run to choose from. The start & finish are at the North Shore Rec Centre and the route is along the scenic “Butter Trail” section of the Trans Canada Trail. All proceeds go to the North Shore Recreation Centre. Snacks and door prize draws served after the race; shower facilities available. More details upcoming in The Light.
