North Shore Community Coordination Project (NSCCP)
The goal of the North Shore Community Coordination Project is to foster communication, coordination and cooperation between the many groups which comprise the social capital on the North Shore.
The NSCCP is managed by the North Shore Project Services Management Society to help coordinate the activities of the many not-for profits, societies and groups working to improve life on the North Shore. Our aim is to facilitate groups of like mind coming together to communicate better, share ideas and expertise, and coordinate activities. We have many strengths on the North Shore and, working together, we can tackle problems as they arise.
The North Shore Community Coordination Project works as follows:
We work with your organization or group to:
1. Identify an issue of interest to the community.
2. Use the asset map to identify key stakeholder groups.
3. Set up a meeting of stakeholders.
4. At the meeting, stakeholders are asked to:
a. Identify themselves, their goals, strengths and issues.
b. Listen to what other stakeholders are saying.
c. Work in small groups to identify first steps towards collaboration.
d. Share ideas.
e. Plan ahead...
